OUR STORY

Rosecroft Preparatory School started in September 2010 as a crèche and nursery with one child and 4 members of staff. Soon our children were smoothly transiting into choice schools within Ikeja GRA. In 2012 we commenced primary provision with 3 children in Primary 1 and (a sibling) in Primary 4. In 2013 we had more children join our primary section including one preparing for secondary transfer. At the end of that school year both children sat secondary transfer exams and came out in flying colours.

MEET OUR ADMINISTRATOR

Mrs Kofo Karunwi, a distinguished educationist of over 30 years with a proven track record of mentoring and inspiring teachers to maximize the effectiveness of their teaching as well as bringing out the best in her students. Her career spans 9 years post qualification teaching in the U.K and 6 in the oldest consistently British Curriculum school in Nigeria (St. Saviour’s School, Ikoyi), where she rose to the position of Head Teacher before resigning to set up K. Creativ Xploits Limited (KCX) in 2004 to provide education consultancy services.

In her time in the U.K she rose to the level of Senior Management and had training in School Leadership and Administration including Deputy Headship training.

Her experience in the field of education is vast and covers areas such as the Montessori method, Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia), Special Educational Needs, the National Curriculum of England and Wales as well as School Management and Administration. Over the years she has regularly initiated and delivered training in a wide range of aspects relating to education.

During her 6 years teaching in Nigeria she embarked on a personal project of a comparative study of the Nigerian and British National Curricula for primary schools.

She currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of St Saviours Schools (Ikoyi & Ebute Metta).

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Mrs. Adetoun Omoniyi

Our head teacher has a passion for helping children understand cause and effect in issues of behavior and has high expectations of the children and she always encourages them strive to achieve their best. The ultimate cheer leader , cheering them along as they exceed even their own targets. She has a Post graduate Diploma in Education and a vast knowledge of EYFS and primary teaching methods and strategies. She has over 10 years teaching and administrative experience.

Hezelyn Owoh

Dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional with a solid commitment to the personal, social, emotional and academic development of every child. She is a warm and caring teacher who wants all children to be successful learners and works to create an atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the varied needs of the children. She has over ten years teaching experience across the nursery and primary age ranges.
