We are in tune with the future of learning, and we continue to lead the pack in world-class education.
Our strong academic tradition and a purposeful atmosphere permeates each class. At ROSECROFT we actively combine challenging experiences with academic rigour and creative opportunity in the personal education of every child.
Children should be exposed to a broad, up-to-date curriculum and this is reflected in the variety of subjects on offer. While the UK National Curriculum is at the core of what we teach, we enrich and enhance this to make it both broader and more challenging. We also introduce a Nigerian angle that ensures children are prepared for transfer to both UK Curriculum and Nigerian curriculum secondary schools.
Our subjects in the primary include Geography, History, R.E, Music, French, P.E (which includes swimming, gymnastics and dance) and elocution.
We use the best model for language acquisition: conversation. So we create scenarios that give rise to opportunities to use language.
At Rosecroft apart from using English as our main medium of communication, we also teach Yoruba and French. Both languages are taught through songs, games and activities to develop competence in conversations.
